Tree-lined streets. Music in the air. Room to become.
Some places meet you exactly where you are and give you the freedom to discover who you’re becoming.
Takoma is one of those places.
It’s Blues and Go-Go echoing from Takoma Station. Coffee shops, barbershops, boutiques and soul food spots where small businesses feel like extensions of the community. Tree-lined streets made for wandering. Homes with their own character. Families with deep roots, stories to tell, and an unmistakable pride in where they come from.
There is a freedom here—to create, to express yourself, to belong without having to become like everyone else.
Takoma captures that spirit through a sophisticated, quietly magnetic fragrance where fresh citrus and delicate florals give way to black tea, soft woods, warm musk, and an earthy depth. Clean yet soulful, familiar yet unexpected, it settles into the room with the same understated confidence as the community that inspired it.
And Takoma has always had a soundtrack.
Every candle is paired with an original Islington Spotify playlist, curated to echo the sounds, soul, and creative energy of the community—from Blues and Go-Go to the unmistakable rhythm of Washington, D.C.
Light the candle. Press play. Let scent and sound take you to a place where creativity is celebrated, community runs deep, and there is room to become exactly who you are.
Because sometimes home is the place that gives you the freedom to grow.
Welcome to Takoma. Welcome home.
